You spoil a lovely and informative lesson with your childish, inappropriate comment. Spoiler!
Lovely historic lesson on knitting. Nancy makes it look so easy! Thanks.
Wonderful information on how to do the nupps. This is one of my favorite stitches to look at and now i will know how to do it. Thanks much
childish? i’m older than you are, if that’s your right age no your profile. inappropriate? the bitch is clearly butch and is of the age to be called ‘grandma’. i don’t get it.
WOOOOOW! O_O Hahaha I know what I want for Christmas… ^_^
i’m sure the book is great but i learn better by watching…
just what i need to start the lily of the valley section of the swallowtail shawl ^_^ thanks!
thank you
very nice
I love kniting and se how it has coem back inot vougue by storm!! I wish I had all of this when I was yopunger , but am enjoying all I have seen grow from the art of knitting and hand work
OMG I almost cried when I found this video. I have Nancy’s book and couldn’t figure out the nupp (I can be dense despite her totally clear instruction) and now I can do a nupp! WOO HOO!
So helpful, thank you!
Wow, I’ve been pronouncing it “nuhps” not “noops”. I love hearing how things are supposed to sound. I’m also quite impressed that they used to knit straight from samplers instead of a pattern. I’ve tried to do that several times and it can be difficult. I can’t imagine doing it all the time, and for lace too!
Realmente un punto delicado y facinante!
looks like a real exciting show.
This was an excellent example of knitting Nups. It was somewat difficult trying to learn from a book but it is easy to follow along with Nancy.
WOW O_0 she’s so cool
I would need this pattern,I couldn’t find it
If someone have it ,could send it to me please?
I would be really greatful
I want to knit this beautiful shawl for my mother
Thank you!!!
If someone has the pattern of this Shawl
I would appreciate so much if you could send to me
I couldn’t find it
bye
The pattern is in Nancy Bush’s book Knitted Lace of Estonia. If you don’t want to buy the book, maybe you could find it in a library.
I’m working on Evelyn Clark’s Swallowtail Lace Shawl right now and it requires the knitting of nupps…but for some reason, no matter how loosely I work the stitches, when it comes time to purl, I have to practically kill myself to get the needle through the stitches! It’s driven me so crazy that I’ve substituted the nupps for beads…but the next time I knit Estonian lace, I may just have to attempt the nupps after all. Ms. Bush makes it look so easy!
Great video, as always
) I didn’t realise nupps where so easy! Thanks to you and Nacy bush for clearing it all up for me.
Dear Nancy
I would like to know if I could buy just your DVD.
I bought to book some months ago, butnow I saw that there is
the video..
Let me know ,please if it is possible.
Thank you
Ok, looser. I’ll go looser
That is so cool! I’m an intermediate knitter, and I’m just beginning to learn how to knit lace. Will have to try this technique now that I’ve heard of it.
Thank you so much! I tried nupps years ago and was so frustrated, I gave up. After seeing this video I gathered up the courage to try again and they’re going swimmingly. Nupps? No problem!
